I must say that today I feel like Mediterranean Food...
I wanted to eat the Moroccan chicken, that I had not eaten for a long time, and I decided to make this appetizer.
Nothing better than some hummus with bread.
How about that?
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 cups canned chickpeas, drained, liquid reserved
- Salt and Black Pepper
- Freshly squeezed lime juice (1/2 lime)
- 2 tablespoons water or liquid from the chickpeas
- 1 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 4 dashes hot sauce
- 1/4 cup tahini (sesame paste) - OPTIONAL
Mix all the ingredients in the food processor and process until the hummus is coarsely pureed.
Taste, for seasoning, and serve with some olive oil on top, chilled or at room temperature.
I get very light on pepper, but if you like ... add more.
