Meat Loaf

Who does not like ground meat in Brazil ? 

But we don't make only hamburgers with it. We have many ways to cook it and this one is an american favorite for sure.

And for those who really do not like, this is a very nice solution. 

The variety of ingredients can scare at first, but everyone has at home and in the end, we do "everything for the flavor!". Right? 

1 kg of ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped 

3 cloves garlic, crushed 

2 eggs 
1 1/2 cup. breadcrumbs 
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese 
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional) 
2 tablespoons chopped parsley 
1 teaspoon salt 
1/2 teaspoon black pepper 
1 cup. tomato sauce 

Preheat the oven to 180oC/350oF. 

In a large bowl, make a mixture with all the ingredients except meat. 

Add the ground beef and mix well until you have a uniform dough. 

For best results, mix everything with your hands ... But do not forget gloves!

Use those type of hospital because they are very thin and cheap. And no pownder on. 

Place the dough into a greased and floured cake pan and bake for 1 hour, until it's brown.

For friends on a diet: You can use lean ground beef, no problem. 

Always use the ingredients at room temperature. That makes all the difference in cooking time. 

You can use different trays for your cake: English cake (pictured), square, round tube (with the hole in the middle).

If you use a form of English (pictured) put a baking sheet under, because if some liquid leaks, it will not mess up your oven.
