Salsa (Pico de Gallo)

Ah, the summer ...
Although we are still in the spring here in Chicago, we can't wait for the beautiful hot summer days. And as a good brazilian from Rio, I think it's a delight to have days like that.
And just in time to host friends at home, try on easy recipes with the lightness that the season needs.

4 medium tomatoes, chopped
Half cup chopped cilantro
1 clove of garlic, grated
1/2 red onion chopped
3 tablespoons olive oil
tablespoons lemon juice (or red wine vinegar)
salt and pepper to taste
1 jalapeno pepper, chopped and no seeds(optinoal)

Lightly mix all ingredients and refrigerate.
Remove before serving.
Serve with tortilla chips.
