Colorful Candy Popcorn 1, 2, 3

I saw this super interesting idea on the internet, not only for the days watching the World Cup, but for any party that you want to give a touch of surprise: Birthday parties, Kids partyMovie Night, Baseball with friends, Super Bowl, Hockey Games, a Picnic ...

But Candy Popcorn without a popcorn popper ?
The truth is that making Candy Popcorn is not one of the easiest things because it has a few tricks, that if you follow, there is no error.
And it's beautifully crisp. Believe me !!!

From all the recipes that I saw, I tested one, even though i thought it had too much oil ...
The popcorn tasted more like oil than sugar.

So I decided to change the quantities and my version, which I call it Popcorn Candy corn 1, 2, because of the ingredients, as you can see, is this:

tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoon water
3 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup popcorn corn
1/4 teaspoon food coloring

In a pan put in this order: oil, water, popcorn, corn sugar and food coloring.

Light the high heat and stir non-stop.
The mixture will start to boil and you keep stirring.
More about 5 minutes ...

When this mixture reaches a syrup texture and corn starts to pop, LOWER THE HEAT and close the pot with the lid.

With the help of Dishtowels, shake the Pan gently, so all the corns burst and intermingle with the colorful syrup.

When it stops burst, open the pan immediately and toss the popcorn on a baking sheet.

Only after cool, separate the popcorn with your hands and serve.

Following all these steps properly, the popcorn is going to be super crunchy and not too sweet ...

Your food coloring can be in drops, gel or powder.

If you want to transfer straight to the popcorn Bowl, you can. You'll separate them while eating.

Leftovers? Store in plastic bag and eat the next day.

I used gel coloring.

Even lowering the fire, the syrup burns slightly at the bottom of the pan. Just use hot soapy water and every little thing comes out.
